St. Philomena's is a modern style church that underwent a renovation several years ago that placed the tabernacle to the side of the sanctuary. Father DeMeulemeister wanted the tabernacle restored to its original position - centered on the back wall of the sanctuary. Murals by Jericho created a new design for the sanctuary wall that utilized the design of the existing altar and ambo.
